MattOther possibilities for voting include max/min parameters. Such as: request stops playing and moves to next track in queue if the max down votes exceed X

Star MergedListeners can rate the music that I broadcast. This feature allows me to optimize my music programming by taking into account my listeners' opinions.

24dubstep.plThe voting system is increasingly popular on Internet radio stations. And all in all, it doesn't surprise me, because thanks to it you know how popular a song is among listeners and what songs or performers like

rixtymaybe it would also be necessary to reset the votes... to avoid that the "best" songs are always the same

Daan BergI'd love a similar-but-different idea too: the ability to remove a song from the playlist it is playing from, next to the 'Skip Song' button on the station profile page. If you start off with a big music catalog that you want to narrow down by removing files while listening to the output, that'd be a great way to make life easier. Currently, looking up the file manually and removing it from the playlist is necessary. However: a voting system would probably work just fine as well when you're the only one listening anyway during station set-up.

Moonbase59I’d love a good voting feature. Unfortunately, real-life, bots and spammers kinda prohibit it—users would have to log in so multiple votes in a certain time-period can be prohibited. Checking IPs isn’t reliable: They might change, be IPv6, or more than one person living in a household that uses the same router (and thus, IP). Never found a real good and easy (for users) way to do that.

allen williamshey all- relatively old to tech, but new-ish to awesome azuracast. great for family to sort a huge collection including tracks off discs we never encountered before! and it would be GREAT with most of the different flavors of up/downvote mentioned here. but i dont think the software lends itself to that well.. so the old tech part of me is thinking 2 bits of external code could pull this off if the autodj log is preserved longer: 1-for voter: checks and records date/time, voter, comment-code; 2- for admin, compare vote time with autodj time, take given action? including creation of new playlists, or symlinks in current ones? ..id give it a shot myself but hoping someone with less cobwebs in their coding would announce theyre taking it on ;) cheers!

GuldstrandWhat is the status of this feature?
A song voting feature would have been really great and helpful, primarily for small/niche web radio stations (like mine). -

JoelAllowing our users to upvote songs via API would be helpful. Automatically implementing that feedback to give upvoted songs more weight would be incredible.
I'd love to be involved in developing this effort. Already been mucking around in the codebase. Admins, are you interested in potentially allowing a feature like this if it were to be developed by community? -

Daniel Getahun MergedThis feature request proposes the addition of a "Like" button for songs currently being played on Azuracast radio stations. This would allow listeners to express their preferences for individual tracks. The collected data could then be used to influence the scheduling algorithm, giving priority to the most-liked songs across the station's music library. This would lead to a more dynamically curated listening experience that reflects the tastes of the audience.
Possible Implementation Details:
"Like" Button: A heart-shaped button or similar visual cue could be added to the "Now Playing" section of the web player and/or mobile apps.
Data Storage: Listener preferences could be stored in the Azuracast database, associated with individual tracks and user accounts (if available).
Scheduling Algorithm Integration: The scheduler could be modified to factor in the number of "likes" a song has received, increasing its likelihood of being played.
Weighting and Customization: Options coul -

mugadavanje.rsPlease add a like/upvote, but affecting the track list should be optional in my opinion.
The upvotes will open new engagement points with the audience and make Azuracast more interactive and fun. Really hoping for this feature.
