Smart Playlists
What would be awesome is if AzuraCast had some kind of Smart Playlists functionality, where you could have Centova populate a specific playlist based on specific criteria such as
- Song Date (Release date) [ie songs released between, on or after a specific date]
- Based on any custom fields
This doesnt have to run constantly but either manually triggered, or on a schedule, similar to the Automated assignment feature (infact, this could be an enhancement of Automated Assignment)

AlanYes! You could have playlists based on genres (exclude metal then use it in a scheduled playlist only) or on era (10's, 00's, 90's, 80's etc). You could do hour based time slots with such playlists mixing and matching. Could also decide on the fly to have themed time slots and change themes dinamically every time by just creating new playlists.

maurizioI think it's also the right place to ask for the ability to move songs within the playlist.
Currently the songs are streamed based on how they are loaded into the folder, and you cannot move them to create a custom playlist.
in centovacast within the playlist, there are buttons to move the mp3 files up or down within the playlist.
many thanks

Salem874 MergedI'd like the ability to have "smart" playlists for the population of our playlists.
In particularly, it would be useful to be able to configure such smart playlists to use metadata and custom field criteria. Criteria such as
"If Genre contains/equals....
AND <custom field> conains/equals"
etc -
